Decide on the target for individual child. This may be for demonstrating good sitting etc. You need to be realistic when setting targets.

The pupil's photograph can be attached to the board with different days of the week in symbols underneath. Smiley faces or similar can be placed by the child next to the appropriate day/symbol when good behaviour/work has been recognised. The pupil takes responsibility for doing this when instructed by the teacher/teaching assistant. When the board has 4/5 smiley faces the pupil can be rewarded with extra time with a favourite activity or similar.
