Basic items required
Piece of board
Symbols for setting the target
Smiley faces or similar
Blue-tack or Velcro for attaching symbols
How to make
Attach photograph of pupil to top of board (right)
Attach target to top of board (left)
Attach days of the week top to bottom (left)
Attach strip of card to hold stickers (right)
Tips for making Target boards
Use Velcro then the board can be re-used with other children when target reached
Attach skirt hanger to board for easy storage
Laminate board and stickers for extended use
Instead of smiley faces, symbols matching the target could be used.
For example:
- Good sitting
- Good looking
- Good listening
- Good thinking
